|Recommended: YesThe best renting experience I've had. — It is a little bit older but the renovations are nice and the staff are excellent. Maintenance requests are taken seriously and resolved in a timely fashion. Even when our A C stopped working they gave us a window unit over-night until they could fix the problem. The older buildings though usually have a much better barrier to other apartments and you rarely hear a peep through wall or ceiling. The only issue is the crickets especially in ground floor units. The complex was built in the woods and you expect some things but at times the crickets get ridiculous and the outside storage shed is useless because of it. However, they have hired an exterminator that comes regularly and there is promise that it will be well controlled going forward. Overall the staff is great, the location is excellent, and the price is reasonable.
|Recommended: YesGood — It's overall fine- parking and amenities are great. The drywall is old and crumbling, the walls show major signs of wear and patching of holes, being all carpet is very frustrating sometimes. Looking for a place without so much carpet The patio was surrounded by bird nests and had a ton of bird poop on it before and while we were living here. It is disgusting. I hope they don't try to charge us for that cleaning.

|Recommended: YesExcellent Maintenance Staff — Carlos and Edwin are truly an asset to the Alister Community. I can't express enough how professional, courteous, and knowledgeable they both are. They are very quick to resolve maintenance issues and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that they have resolved maintenance concerns to the best of their ability. Edwin goes WAY above and beyond the call of his duty. He and Carlos truly make living at Alister a great place to live

|Recommended: YesMaintenance team is great — We’ve had to call maintenance three times over the past three days for issues we didn’t create. Each time maintenance has been prompt, polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and quite frankly, funny. Carlos and Edwin have been fun to talk to while they work and have gone out of their way to make sure our issues were handled. Our washer broke and Carlos had the replacement to us in two days. A pipe leaked in the kitchen and Edwin was quick to get here, figure out what was wrong, and fix it entirely. He also made sure to clean up after himself and promised to have the carpets cleaned and the drywall repaired by the end of the week. Would choose Alister again just for the maintenance team

|Recommended: YesAwesome Apartments — Well located apartments, half a mile away from a Harris Teeter shopping center, with a fantastic front office maintenance staff A generally quiet community with very little noise disturbances heard from neighbors. Usually don't have difficulty finding parking, the complex is well lit with a lot of trees and foliage around, and the available perks in the clubhouse on the property are nice to have as options.

|Recommended: YesConvenient Location and Quiet — This is a nice, quiet community in a very convenient location near I-95, MD-32, and more, which is great since my commutes to various work locations are straightforward. Plus, the community is very quiet and easygoing I never feel the need to escape' my apartment.

|Recommended: YesNice Place to Live — Easy to commute to and from. Good parking. Clean. Everyone keeps to themselves. Can hear neighbors and people going up and down stairs or above below easily. Some items in apartment need to be replaced or updated.

|Recommended: NoWasn't what I expected — The property it self I'm not happy at all. The people the work there are friendly but it seen the aways avoiding my problems. I wish it was more afiction. Sad because the office looks amazing just always seen to have a problem.

|Recommended: YesIt is ok. — Adequate parking in our section. Not enough covered parking available. Some neighbors are more noisy than others. Lawn sparse, a lot of bare dirt showing. Not enough soundproofing between floors, in walls near the stairwells, or around the exterior doors. Fixtures basic. Appliances basic. Staff sometimes helpful, sometimes just say things to appease you. Some maintenance issues fixed quickly, some have yet to be done in the 7 months since moving in. Thermostat old, hard to set consistently, doesn't work well. Never lived in any other apartments before.
